Seafood specialities:Prawn Cocktail
Serves: 5-6 People
Time Required: 20 Minutes (Chilling time:1 hour)
INGREDIENTS
1. 2 cups de-veined boiled prawns or shrimps;
2. 3 tbs thick mayonnaise;
3. 1 tbsp tomato ketchup;
4. a few drops Tabasco sauce;
5. 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce;
6. 2 tbs full cream (optional);
7. salt and pepper to taste;
8. little celery powder or 1 stalk chopped fresh celery ;
9. ½ tsp salt;
10. 2 tbs finely chopped leeks;
11. little lemon juice;
12. 3-4 lettuce leaves;
13. slice of lemon.
METHOD
1. To make the sauce mix mayonnaise; tomato ketchup; a few drops Tabasco sauce; Worcestershire sauce; full cream (optional)
2. Mix sauce with a little celery powder or chopped fresh celery; finely chopped leeks; little lemon juice.
3. Season with salt and pepper
4. Shred lettuce very fine
5. Arrange lettuce pieces in glasses or small flat dishes.
6. Top with prawns/ shrimp
7. Cover with sauce.
8. Garnish with lemon
9. Serve chilled.
